Strengthening Human Rights in Mirpurkhas – Multi-Stakeholder Consultation
A district-level multi-stakeholder consultation was held, chaired by Mr. Rajveer Singh Sodha, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Sindh on Human Rights, and co-chaired by Mr. Iqbal Ahmed Detho, Chairperson of the Sindh Human Rights Commission (SHRC).


The consultation brought together representatives from government departments, civil society organizations, and academia to reinforce coordination on the promotion and protection of human rights in the region.
Mr. Rajveer Singh Sodha emphasized that strengthening human rights structures remains a top priority for the provincial leadership.


Mr. Iqbal Ahmed Detho highlighted Pakistan’s international obligations and key challenges such as shrinking civic space, minority rights, labor issues in the brick kiln sector, and environmental degradation.


Both underscored the importance of civil society engagement, institutional accountability, and robust implementation of the human rights framework to ensure justice and dignity for all.
