Mr. Detho highlighted the deep connection between human rights and the climate crisis, stating: “Climate change is not just an ecological issue; it is a matter of justice, survival, and dignity—especially for children.”
Other speakers included Qindeel Shujaat (Executive Director, Obun2), Salam Dharejo (Country Head, Terre des Hommes), Mehran Ali Shah (Chairman, Pakistan Fisherfolk Forum), and Ayhan Mustafa Bhutto (Sindh Directorate of Climate Change), all of whom echoed the urgent need to empower youth and prioritize child-focused climate policies.
