Mr. Iqbal Ahmed Detho, Chairperson of the Sindh Human Rights Commission (SHRC), visited Darul Aman in Sukkur to assess the living conditions, safety, and welfare services being provided to women residents. During the visit, he engaged with the staff and inmates, listened to their concerns, and emphasized the Commission’s commitment to safeguarding the rights and dignity of vulnerable women.
The Chairperson highlighted the importance of regular monitoring, access to legal aid, and psychosocial support. He assured SHRC’s full cooperation in addressing any challenges faced by the institution and urged authorities to ensure transparency, accountability, and a rights-based approach in shelter home management.
