𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬-𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬
The Sindh Human Rights Commission (SHRC) held an important consultation session addressing the economic and business-related human rights challenges faced by transgender persons in Sindh.
The meeting was chaired by Mr. Iqbal Ahmed Detho, Chairperson SHRC, and brought together transgender community leaders, government departments, and development partners for an inclusive dialogue.
Barrister Rida Tahir, Member Business and Human Rights at SHRC, gave a comprehensive presentation on the legal framework protecting transgender rights in Sindh and Pakistan. She highlighted major issues transgender persons face in employment, business registration, access to public services, and navigating legal identity systems.

The session reaffirmed SHRC’s commitment to inclusive policy-making and ensuring that the voices of marginalized communities shape Sindh’s human rights agenda.
