Under the SIGN Project, led by International Rescue Committee in collaboration with MERF-Medical Emergency Resilience Foundation and Strengthening Participatory Organization - SPO, the National Advocacy For Rights of Innocent-NARI Foundation proudly hosted Sindh’s first provincial-level network engagement! This milestone event brought together key stakeholders to strengthen collaboration, address challenges, and develop actionable advocacy strategies to improve nutrition outcomes across the province.

Mr. Iqbal Ahmed Detho, Chairperson of the Sindh Human Rights Commission (SHRC), highlighted the crucial role of civil society in advancing nutrition initiatives. He reaffirmed SHRC’s commitment to health and nutrition as fundamental human rights, ensuring equitable access to adequate food, maternal care, and essential health services for all.

With the pre-budget session in the Sindh Assembly underway, he emphasized the need to prioritize nutrition and budget allocations, urging civil society to engage with parliamentarians. He also reiterated SHRC’s role as a bridge between the government and civil society, fostering collaboration for impactful policy implementation.

A key outcome of the previous event was the formation of the District Advisory & Implementation Panel (DA&IP), jointly supervised by SHRC & the Deputy Commissioner, Sukkur. This initiative reinforces efforts to enforce laws and protect child nutrition rights, ensuring a stronger commitment to sustainable health solutions.
