The Sindh Human Rights Commission (SHRC), led by Chairman Iqbal Ahmed Detho, conducted an inspection of Central Jail Hyderabad, revealing concerning mental health issues among the 248 death row inmates. The SHRC emphasizes the need for improved psychological support, medical care, and systemic prison reforms to uphold human rights standards.

Key Highlights:
• 88 appeals of condemned prisoners await hearings in higher courts.
• SHRC urges regular assessments of prison facilities and upgrades in Mirpurkhas and Dadu.
• Completion of women and children’s jail construction requested.
