The Sindh Human Rights Commission, in partnership with partners successfully conducted a one-day training "Capacity Building of Human Rights Defenders" in Larkana.


The program brought together activists, legal professionals, and community workers to address local issues such as forced conversions, child marriages, honor killings.


Mr. Iqbal Ahmed Detho, Chairperson of SHRC, emphasized reforming Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) systems and strengthening district-level human rights mechanisms. The training also featured sessions on Pakistan’s human rights frameworks, the Human Rights Policy 2023-2028, and strategies for combating hate speech, addressing missing persons cases, and promoting interfaith harmony.  


Chief Guest Mr. Mir Ruhal Khan Khoso, SSP Larkana, distributed certificates and encouraged extending such initiatives to rural areas. SHRC reaffirmed its commitment to empowering marginalized communities and advancing human rights protections across Sindh.  


This training is a milestone in fostering an inclusive and effective human rights network in the region.
