Chairperson (SHRC) Highlights Local Governance and Human Rights at CPDI Workshop

The Two-Day Workshop on the organized by Citizens for the Center for Peace and Development Initiatives CPDI Pakistan in collaboration with the Sindh Local Government Department, concluded successfully with enlightening discussions and engaging sessions.

The workshop aimed to enhance the understanding of local government officials and civil society members about the Sindh Local Government Act, 2013, focusing on its significance, evolution, and practical implementation.

The event concluded with Iqbal Ahmed Detho, Chairperson of the Sindh Human Rights Commission, delivering the closing remarks. He emphasized the importance of inclusive and transparent governance at the local level and highlighted the critical linkages between human rights and effective service delivery.

Certificates were distributed to participants, acknowledging their commitment to strengthening the local governance framework in Sindh.
