District Assembly on the Impact of Tribal and Sectarian Conflict on Women and Marginalized Communities at Khairpur

Chairperson Sindh Human Rights Commission, Iqbal Ahmed Detho, emphasized the collective duty to address human rights grievances during a 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐲 on the "𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬." The event, held at Sachal Sarmast Hall, Khairpur, was organized by Bhittai Social Watch & Advocacy(BSWA) in collaboration with SHRC and United States Institute of Peace (USIP).  


Mr. Detho highlighted SHRC's ongoing public hearings, planned training for District Peace Committees, and initiatives for community-friendly policing. He commended BSWA's efforts and affirmed that the assembly's recommendations would be forwarded to policymakers.  


For a peaceful and inclusive Sindh, unity among civil society, government, and communities is essential.
