Chairperson (SHRC) Leads Session on Human Rights Laws at DevCon Workshop

DevCon - An Association for Rural Development, in partnership with Terre des hommes, organized a Capacity Building Workshop for Partner Organizations in Karachi. The workshop aimed to empower partnerships, foster collaboration, and promote strategic growth through knowledge-sharing initiatives.  

A key session was conducted by Iqbal Ahmed Detho, Chairperson of the Sindh Human Rights Commission, who delivered lecture on "Introduction to Human Rights Laws with a Focus on Child Protection and Gender Justice." He emphasized the importance of legal frameworks like the UNCRC and the Protection of Children Act in addressing issues such as child labor, early marriages, and access to education, while advocating for gender justice.  

This workshop reinforced the commitment of partner organizations to safeguarding children’s rights and promoting gender equality. It highlighted the need for collaborative efforts to create a society where every child is protected, empowered, and given equal opportunities to thrive.
