Chairperson (SHRC) Lectures on Human Trafficking at Judicial Academy

The Sindh Judicial Academy is conducting a One-Week Training Program for newly promoted Additional District & Sessions Judges. On Thursday, 19th December 2024 (Day 04), included the topics on Human Trafficking & Bonded Labor by Mr. Iqbal Ahmed Detho, Chairperson of the Sindh Human Rights Commission, focusing on protecting and prosecuting the offenders human trafficking and smuggling and providing victim support.

The session covers important legislations, including the Prevention of Trafficking in Persons Act, 2018, the Prevention of Trafficking in Persons Rules, 2020, the Prevention of Smuggling of Migrants Act, 2018, and the Prevention of Smuggling of Migrants Rules, 2020.Sindh Bonded Labor System (Abolition) Act 2015 & Rules 2020.

Additionally, the program emphasizes the important  role of District & Sessions Judges in upholding justice. This training aims to equip judicial officers with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate complex areas of law and effectively fulfill their responsibilities, reinforcing their commitment to delivering justice and safeguarding human rights.
