Iqbal Ahmed Detho, Chairperson of the Sindh Human Rights Commission, attended the launch of the Haqooq-e-Pakistan II project, organized by the UNDP Pakistan in collaboration with the Government of Pakistan and the European Union in Pakistan. This program aims to promote and protect human rights across Pakistan.
The event coincided with Human Rights Day, marking an important step in advancing human rights in Pakistan.
The initiative focuses on promoting human rights, raising awareness, and ensuring better protection mechanisms for rights holders in Pakistan. The launch was graced by prominent figures, including the Federal Secretary of Human Rights, Secretary Sindh Human Rights Department, Ambassador of the European Union, the Federal Minister for Human Rights, and the Resident Representative of UNDP.
This launch aligns with efforts to raise awareness about the importance of human rights and foster collaboration between international organizations and local entities to protect and promote these rights throughout Pakistan.a
