SHRC Chairperson’s Lecture on Human Rights for Newly Promoted Judge

Iqbal Ahmed Detho, Chairperson of the Sindh Human Rights Commission, delivered a lecture during the Two-Week Training Program for Newly Promoted District & Sessions Judges (Batch-72) at the Sindh Judicial Academy.


The program was organized to enhance judicial understanding of critical human rights issues.  


In his lecture, Mr. Detho emphasized the urgent need to combat human trafficking and m bonded labor, key human rights challenges affecting marginalized communities in Pakistan. He underlined the importance of judicial intervention in addressing these violations and ensuring access to justice for victims.  
This lecture aligns with the ongoing 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, reinforcing the global call to end exploitation and promote equality.


Mr. Detho highlighted the role of judiciary and human rights institutions in protecting vulnerable groups and upholding the rule of law.
