The Sindh Women Lawyers Alliance in collaboration with SZABIST Karachi, organized an 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗵.
Iqbal Ahmed Detho, Chairperson of the Sindh Human Rights Commission (SHRC), served as the keynote speaker, providing crucial insights into the roots of extremism, and discussed the tragic case of Dr. Shahnawaz, who lost his life in police custody under blasphemy charges.
Mr. Detho also presented SHRC’s Training Manual on Peace Building and Countering Violent Extremism to the panel and participants, a step toward equipping communities and institutions with tools to foster peace and resilience against extremism.
