The Pakistan Down Syndrome Association (PDSA) Karachi, in collaboration with the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPD), organized a seminar focused on enhancing support systems for individuals with Down syndrome.

Keynote Speaker: Iqbal Ahmed Detho, Chairperson of the Sindh Human Rights Commission, addressed the audience with a compelling discussion on the critical importance of improving support systems for individuals with Down syndrome. He highlighted the need for robust awareness campaigns that educate the public and combat stigma, emphasizing that increased community engagement is essential for fostering a more inclusive society. Detho urged attendees to collaborate across sectors—government, non-profit, and community organizations—to create a comprehensive support network that empowers individuals with Down syndrome and their families. His insights aimed to inspire action and commitment to building a brighter, more equitable future for all.
