Chairperson Sindh Human Rights Commission, Iqbal Ahmed Detho, accompanied by his team, visited the District Jail in Dadu. They conducted a detailed review of the facilities available for inmates and issued directives for legal assistance to deserving prisoners.
During the visit, Chairperson Detho announced plans to convert the Dadu District Jail into a Central Jail. This change aims to keep sentenced prisoners closer to their families, alleviating the difficulties faced by both inmates and their families in accessing court proceedings and visits. The upgrade will help uphold visitors' rights and facilitate easier family connections.
Additionally, Detho expressed serious concern over the presence of a blind inmate, requesting detailed information from the jail superintendent. A case has been initiated for intervention in government affairs regarding this matter.
