Mirpur Khas, Sindh - Chairperson Sindh Human Rights Commission, Iqbal Ahmed Detho met with Dr. Shahnawaz Kumbhar's family to offer support, promising all possible assistance as the Commission continues its inquiries over the next few days.

The SHRC is dedicated to upholding justice and protecting the rights of all citizens in Sindh.

Saturday, September 21, 2024, Iqbal Ahmed Detho, visited Mirpur Khas to investigate the alleged fake police encounter and extrajudicial killing of Dr. Shahnawaz Kumbhar. His visit aimed to assess the situation following this tragic event.

Chairperson (SHRC) met with DIG Mirpur Khas and other law enforcement officials, engaging in a comprehensive discussion about the ongoing investigation. Later, he held a detailed meeting with civil society representatives and media at the Circuit House Mirpur Khas, where he outlined the steps taken by the Sindh Human Rights Commission, the status of the inquiry, and the future action plan.

In response to media inquiries, Chairperson (SHRC) emphasized the Commission's commitment to providing legal protection to the deceased's family and ensuring a transparent investigation into the matter.
