Sindh Human Rights Commission (SHRC) partnered with Legal Aid Society and UN Women Pakistan to foster a society where men actively advocate for women's rights and well-being. At the HeforShe program organized at the University of Karachi's Political Science Department, Mr. Adnan Khaskhaly enlightened students on the fundamental principles of human rights and thoroughly explained the Sindh Human Rights Commission's mechanisms, inspiring them to become active promoters of social justice.
Mr. Khaskhaly introduced the SOHRIS portal (www.sohris.com), a valuable SHRC initiative providing comprehensive human rights resources. This portal helps understand policies, laws, and organizations promoting human rights in Sindh. He emphasized that men must recognize privilege, challenge patriarchal norms, support women's empowerment, foster inclusive environments, and advocate for policy changes. He further emphasized that by engaging men and boys in gender equality, a more just and equitable society can be created.
