This pivotal event marked a significant advancement in advocating for women’s rights and empowerment within Sindh's agricultural sector.

Mr. Reejhu Mal, Law Officer of the Labour Department, emphasized Sindh’s commitment to prioritizing women’s rights through recent amendments and legislation like the Women Agricultural Workers Act. He also highlighted ongoing efforts to draft the Sindh Domestic Workers Law.
Iqbal Ahmed Detho, Chairperson of the Sindh Human Rights Commission, reiterated the province's dedication to labor rights and social justice, emphasizing the need for social security and protection laws to be integrated into the new rules.
Next Steps:
- SHRC will arrange consultations on the Sindh Bonded Labour Act and the Tenancy Act.
- Meetings with the Secretaries of the Social Security Department and Social Protection Authority will be scheduled to discuss the development of an Endowment Fund for agricultural workers.
