Mr. Iqbal Ahmed Detho, Chairperson, Sindh Human Rights Commission delivered an impactful address at the District-Level Convention on Inclusivity, organized by Sub Rang Society.
Mr. Detho emphasized the urgent need for a political debate on replacing 'Sex' with 'Gender' in our constitutional and legal frameworks. He committed the Commission's support to organizations like Subrang Society in identifying and challenging colonial-era laws that discriminate against transgender individuals, hindering their access to equal opportunities in social, cultural, and economic spheres.
"Trans people are not aliens; they deserve all the rights provided to everyone in our constitution," Mr. Detho stated passionately.
