Chairperson (SHRC) visited the Women Police Station in Hyderabad

The Sindh Human Rights Commission team, led by Mr. Iqbal Ahmed Detho had an inspection visit to the Women Police Station in Hyderabad, accompanied by SSP Hyderabad Mr. Amjad Sheikh and SHO Ms. Azra Mujtaba.

Mr. Iqbal emphasized the importance of capacity building for women police officers in the field of investigation. He announced plans to arrange a meeting at the DIG Office, involving all relevant officials and police units, to raise awareness about Family Laws matters including custody, maintenance of children, divorce, domestic violence, and child marriage among the police force.

Additionally, discussions with the SSP centered on providing legal aid to those who cannot afford it, ensuring access to justice for all.
