The Sindh Human Rights Commission in collaboration with Sindh Police Training Wing organised two-day Training Program for Probationary Inspectors (LAW). The specialized course focused on the Latest Amendments and Enactments on Human Rights Laws & Special Laws related to Women and Children.
The inaugural day was marked by an enlightening session led by the Chairperson of the Sindh Human Rights Commission, Iqbal Ahmed Detho. His insights delved into the landscape of Human Rights in Pakistan, covering fundamental concepts, historical evolution, and the core essence of Human Rights, laying a strong foundation for the training.
Mr. Shahid Shafiq, District & Sessions Judge / Senior Faculty Member at Sindh Judicial Academy, added a crucial perspective with a lecture on the Juvenile Justice System Act 2018, providing invaluable insights into the legal landscape.
Barrister Rida Tahir took center stage, conducting a deep dive into the Torture and Custodial Death (Prevention and Punishment) ACT 2022. Her expertise brought crucial understanding to this significant legislation, shaping valuable discussions and learnings throughout the session.
