Chairperson of the Sindh Human Rights Commission, Iqbal Ahmed Detho along with team Yasir Shaikh, Superintendent Complaints (SHRC) recently visited Darul Atfal in Sukkur. During his visit, Mr. Detho engaged with the children residing in Darul Atfal and conducted a thorough inspection of the facilities within the establishment, including the kitchen, dining hall, dispensary, and kids' rooms.
Ms. Hina Pasham, the In-Charge of Darul Atfal Asst: Director Social Welfare Department, provided a comprehensive overview of the institution. She presented an improvement report, detailing the developments that had taken place since posted at this Position. Ms. Pasham also highlighted the challenges faced by Darul Atfal, particularly the shortage of staff.
Responding to these concerns, Mr. Detho actively sought to address and resolve the issues identified at Darul Atfal. His commitment to ensuring the well-being of the children and improving the facilities was evident in his proactive approach to problem-solving.
During his brief interactions with the children, Mr. Detho expressed his satisfaction with the services provided at Darul Atfal. However, he emphasized the need for continuous improvement, signaling his dedication to upholding fundamental rights and ensuring that the children in such institutions receive the best possible care and support.
