Chairperson (SHRC) convened meeting with Director General of (SCPA), and Associate Director of (LAS)

Chairperson, Sindh Human Rights Commission, Iqbal Ahmed Detho convened meeting with Mr. Moazzam Ali Mari, Director General of Sindh Child Protection Authority, and Ms. Maliha Zia, Associate Director of Legal Aid Society.

The focus of the discussion was to re -formulate draft of the Sindh Child Marriages Restraint Rules, 2024 in the wake of changing the role of Social Welfare Department i.e Sindh Child Protection Authority being administrative department of SCMRA-2013.

Barrister Rida Tahir, Legal Consultant at SHRC, contributed in the meeting and gave valuable insights.

Sindh Human Rights Commission is manadated to review the safeguarding given in the law for promotion and protection of the rights of every individual in Sindh Province.
