Chairperson (SHRC) attended first introductory meeting of Provincial Steering Committee on Business and Human Rights

Chairperson Sindh Human Rights Commission, Iqbal Ahmed Detho and Barrister Rida Tahir (Legal Consultant - SHRC) attended the first introductory meeting of Provincial Steering Committee on Business and Human Rights on January 18, 2024 for which SHRC is a member. The meeting took place in the Committee Room of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh.

Barrister M. Omer Soomro, Minister for Human Rights, chaired the session. Ms. Tahseen Fatima, Secretary of the Human Rights Department, Government of Sindh and other esteemed Committee Members were also attended the meeting.

The Chief Secretary office Sindh has notified the Provincial Steering Committee on Business and Human Rights on December 18, 2023, to monitor the effective implementation of the National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights in Sindh.
