The Sindh Human Rights Commission, under the steadfast leadership of Mr. Iqbal Ahmed Detho, remains resolute in its commitment to upholding human rights in line with national and international laws. The commission actively addresses critical issues spanning education, health, and disaster response, significantly impacting the well-being of Sindh's populace.
In a recent initiative, Mr. Detho, accompanied by Mr. Sarfraz Ahmed, Superintendent Complaint (SHRC), and Director of Education (Colleges), DEO Primary and Secondary Larkana, undertook visits to various schools and colleges across District Larkana.
Their primary focus was on formulating effective flood response strategies, particularly rehabilitating flood-damaged Primary and Secondary Schools, with a special emphasis on those catering to girls. Aligned with broader objectives, the commission prioritizes the activation of School Management Committees and the implementation of comprehensive pre and post-flood enrollment strategies. These initiatives aim to empower local communities and ensure the efficient functioning of schools, especially in the aftermath of natural disasters.
Mr. Detho's outlined priorities encompass immediate rehabilitation efforts, enhanced school enrollment initiatives, and the development of healthcare infrastructure in District Larkana and beyond.
