Amidst the ongoing 16 Days of Activism, the Sindh Human Rights Commission took a proactive step by organizing an intensive two-day Training of Trainers (TOT) program. Equipping Police Instructors with updated insights on Human Rights Laws and Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) Laws.
The inaugural day saw the Chairperson of the Sindh Human Rights Commission, Iqbal Ahmed Detho, leading an enlightening session, delving into the landscape of Human Rights in Pakistan. Covering fundamental concepts, historical evolution, and the core essence of Human Rights, it set a strong foundation for the training.
An impactful moment was Barrister Rida Tahir deep dive into the Torture and Custodial Death (Prevention and Punishment) ACT 2022. Her expertise brought crucial understanding to this significant legislation, shaping valuable discussions and learnings throughout the session.
Faizullah Korejo, DIG Trainings Sindh Police, extends a warm welcome to the Sindh Human Rights Commission for spearheading such crucial training programs.
This effort shows a shared commitment to empower Police Instructors with vital knowledge, guiding society toward greater rights awareness. Huge applause to all participants—trainers and law instructors—from different Police Training Institutes across Sindh, and to the organizers for tirelessly promoting a culture that respects and protects Human Rights!
