Iqbal Ahmed Detho, Chairperson of the Sindh Human Rights Commission, took the stage at the Coordination Meeting with stakeholders on Peace and Justice organized by Civil Society Support Programme (CSSP) and SHRC at the DC office in Hyderabad to shed light on the crucial initiatives in Sindh. In his insightful address, he introduced the Sindh Human Rights Commission, emphasizing the need for collective efforts in upholding human rights.
The discussion delved into establishing peace and justice committees, illustrating their vital role in fostering community harmony. Mr. Detho highlighted the importance of collaboration and engagement to create a society where every voice is heard and every right is protected.
Mr. Noor Mohammad Bajeer CEO-CSSP briefed on the Objectives of the meeting with a special focus on the active participation of all district-level stakeholders in sustaining peace and justice, as peace is the ultimate source of survival in the society.
Mr. Tarique Dharejo D.I.G Hyderabad shared that they have formed Minority Facilitation Desks in 9 districts of Hyderabad Range and are handling the issues raised by minorities, also redesigning the police stations according to the need.
Mr. Wahid Sangrasi, Head of programs CSSP informed that CSSP and the Police Department along with other relevant stakeholders are working for the protection of underprivileged communities and minorities.
Syed Khalid Hyder Shah Commissioner Hyderabad in his conclusion remarks emphasized enhancing coordination among all departments and committees for the facilitation, enforcement, and execution of all laws and he also ensured to strengthening of referral and protection mechanisms.
