The Sindh Human Rights Commission organized a two-day training session on October 16 and 17, 2023, at the Sindh Judicial Academy, providing crucial insights into various human rights subjects for 45 newly appointed civil judges and judicial magistrates.
Under the leadership of Mr. Iqbal Ahmed Detho Chairperson of SHRC, along with Barrister Rida Tahir Law Consultant SHRC and Mr. Muhammad Shahid Shafiq District & Sessions Judge/Senior Faculty Member at Sindh Judicial Academy. This initiative aims to equip the Civil Judges and Judicial Magistrates with in-depth knowledge on critical human rights laws and rules.
To enhance their legal acumen and to ensure fair and consistent legal decisions. The key topics covered included the Sindh Child Marriage Restraint Act, 2013, Protection against Harassment of Women at the Workplace Act, 2010 (2022 Amendment), and the Sindh Bonded Labour System (Abolition) Act, 2015.
