Chairperson (SHRC) attended Session on Awareness of Down Syndrome to showcase their abilities

Pakistan Down Syndrome Association (PDSA) Karachi in collaboration with CBM Islamabad, Pakistan organized the session on the "Awareness of Down Syndrome to showcase their abilities," aimed at promoting inclusivity and breaking barriers.

Barrister Muhammad Omer Soomro, Caretaker Minister for Law, Religious Affairs, and Human Rights, was the chief guest at the event. His presence highlighted the importance of promoting the abilities of individuals with Down syndrome.

Mr. Iqbal Ahmed Detho Chairperson of the Sindh Human Rights Commission, shared insightful thoughts on breaking barriers and advocating for people with Down syndrome. He added that we strongly believe that individuals with Down syndrome are capable of incredible achievements and should be given the opportunity to shine as self-sufficient and valuable members of society.

Mr. M. Aslam Shaikh, Member Judicial-II at the Sindh Human Rights Commission, also graced the occasion with his presence, demonstrating his support for the cause.
