Provincial Stakeholder's Dialogue on Combatting Child Trafficking and Bonded Labour in Sindh organized by Sindh Human Rights Commission in collaboration with SSDO Pakistan and U.S. Embassy Pakistan.
The dialogue was attended by all the relevant departments of Sindh. Chairperson Sindh Human Rights Commission Iqbal Ahmed Detho, Chairperson National Commission on the Rights of Child - NCRC Pakistan Ayesha Raza Farooq, Chairperson Child Protection and Welfare Bureau Sarah Ahmad, DIG East Sindh Police Azhar Mahesar, Director Labour Department Reejhu Mal, Chairperson Employer Federation Mehmood Arshad & Executive Director @SSDOPakistan Syed Kausar Abbas @SyedKausarAbbas were among the prominent speakers of the dialogue.
Participants included SHOs, Investigation Officers, DSPs from the Legal branch, IOS, and SHOs from the FIA, along with Prosecutors, the Labor Department, the Social Welfare Department, the Child Protection Department, and representatives from civil society. The primary aim was to engage in a meaningful discussion addressing the complexities in implementing the Prevention of Trafficking in Persons and Bonded Labour.
The event was moderated by Barrister Rida Tahir, consultant at SHRC, ensuring a productive and meaningful discussion. Together, we stand committed to a safer and more equitable future for all.
