Chairperson (SHRC) delivered a lecture to the 33rd Management Course at the Senior Management Wing of the NIM, Karachi.

The Chairperson of Sindh Human Rights Commission, Mr. Iqbal Ahmed Detho, delivered a lecture to the 33rd Management Course at the Senior Management Wing of the National Institute of Management (Karachi).

The session revolved around the crucial theme of "Issues and Welfare of Marginalized Communities in Pakistan."

During his presentation, Mr. Detho provided an in-depth overview of the marginalized communities in our country.

The lecture summarizes the legal and institutional framework, both at the national and international levels that exist to ensure the protection and welfare of these communities. The Chairperson' session delved into various pertinent topics concerning the issues and welfare of marginalized communities. He shed light on the challenges related to inclusion and mainstreaming, emphasizing the need to address forced marriages, gender harassment, abductions, and other forms of discrimination faced by minorities and marginalized communities. Additionally, he highlighted the specific issues faced by individuals with special needs, physical and mental disabilities, different ethnicities, and the transgender community.

By addressing these critical issues, Chairperson SHRC lecture aimed to raise awareness among the course participants, while empower and foster a deeper understanding of the challenges at hand and the importance of advocating for equal rights, social justice, and inclusivity.
