Mr. Iqbal Ahmed Detho, Chairperson Sindh Human Rights Commission (SHRC), delivered an inspiring speech at the 'Launching Ceremony of The Pakistan Labor Academy.' He emphasized SHRC's commitment to championing workers' rights and justice, focusing on the labor reforms agenda. The seminar provided a crucial platform for dialogue and collaboration, aiming for fair and dignified employment. Together, we strive for a future that upholds the rights and welfare of all.

The Seminar on Labour Education and Decent Work gathered esteemed speakers. Dr. Niels Hegewisch, Country Director, Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, Pakistan (FES) delivered a warm welcome address, setting the stage for insightful discussions on labor education.

Mr. Farhatullah Babar, graced the event as the esteemed Chief Guest, highlighting the government's commitment to ensuring decent work for all.

Other speakers, including Abdullah Dayo, Program Advisor, FES Pakistan, and Felix Kolbitz, Country Director, FES Bangladesh, shared valuable insights on the Pakistan Labour Academy and successful labor education models. Dr. Aliya K Hashmi, Labor Economist, stressed the importance of labor education in empowering workers and improving conditions. Geir T. Tonstol, Country Director, ILO Country Office, Pakistan, discussed the significance of the Decent Work Country Program and collaboration with trade unions. Mr. Daniel Clauss, Head of Political, Trade and Communication Section, EU Pakistan, emphasized upholding worker rights and labor standards. H.E Ambassador Alfred Grannas, German Ambassador to Pakistan, highlighted bilateral relations promoting labor rights.

Mr. Noor Zaman, Senior Member, National Industrial Relations Commission (NIRC), emphasized comprehensive support for workers' welfare and government policies.
