Mr. Aslam Shaikh, Judicial Member-II, Sindh Human Rights Commission participated in the inauguration event of the Dissemination Campaign organized by SZABIST and ICRC. The campaign focused on "The Sindh Healthcare Service Providers and Facilities (Prevention of Violence and Damage to Property) Act, 2021" and "The Provincial Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act, 2018: Right of Way to Ambulances."
The main goal of the launch event was to increase public awareness regarding the amendments made to the Acts.
These amendments aim to safeguard healthcare service providers and prevent any harm or loss of property within healthcare facilities. Moreover, the amendments establish legal consequences for any violations committed against service providers.
The launching ceremony was attended by Dr. Azra Pechuho, the Minister for Health, the parliamentary secretary to the health department, representatives from SZABIST and ICRC, government officials, and other notable individuals.
