The Chairperson of the Sindh Human Rights Commission, Mr. Iqbal Ahmed Detho, along with Justice (F) Arshad Noor Khan, Member SHRC recently visited the Sindh Prison Staff Training Institute located in Central Jail, Hyderabad.
During the visit, Mr. Detho conducted a training session for the prison staff where he emphasized the importance of having empathy towards others, especially in the challenging line of work that prison staff often encounters. He also highlighted the significance of allocating substantial resources to training, which is a crucial component.
The training session aimed to enhance the staff's understanding of various laws, including the Juvenile Justice System Act (JJSA) 2018, the Sindh Children Act 1955, and the Criminal Justice System & Human Rights.
The staff engaged in an interactive discussion with Mr. Detho, where they raised several thought-provoking questions related to their work.
