Chairperson Iqbal Ahmad Detho of the Sindh Human Rights Commission held a meeting with SSP Adeel Hussain Chandio at the SSP Office in Thatta. They discussed various issues concerning the district.
During the meeting, SSP Chandio highlighted that Thatta is a comparatively peaceful district with a low crime rate. He also mentioned the police's swift action against Gutka, Mawa, and other drugs, resulting in significant progress in curbing their prevalence. Numerous drug dealers and owners of Gutka and Mawa factories have been apprehended, and cases have been filed against them.
Subsequently, Chairperson Detho, accompanied by SSP Chandio, visited the Safe City CCTV Command and Control Center as well as the Women and Children Protection Institution, where they assessed the current situation. Chairperson Detho emphasized the importance of further efforts in protecting women and children, expressing the intention to take steps to ensure the sustainability of the institution.
