Meeting with Vice Chancellor and Faculty of Institute of Business Administration Sukkur.
The thematic area of Business and Human Rights is an important addition to Commission’s powers and functions as per Sindh Protection of Human Rights (Amendment) Act, 2022.
Pursuant to the Commission’s mandate, the Chairperson Sindh Human Rights Commission Mr. Iqbal Ahmed Detho held a meeting with the Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Asif Ahmed Sheikh, Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Syed Mir Muhammad Shah and faculty members at IBA Sukkur on Thursday, 11th May, 2023 on the subject matter of ‘Business and Human Rights’ education in the mainstream business schools of the Province of Sindh.
After round of discussion, the Chairperson SHRC and Vice Chancellor IBA Sukkur agreed for the formation of a joint sub-Committee mandated to work on the technicalities for review of existing curriculum on business and Human Rights and work on the parameters for collaboration and co-operation between the institutions.
