People’s Assembly jointly organized by BSWA, Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur, FES Pakistan, Al-Mustafa Welfare Association and Civil Society Thari Mirwah.
A Peoples’ Assembly on topic “The Impact of Climate Change on Human Rights in Sindh” presided over by Honorable Muhammad Aslam Shaikh, Judge (Rtd) Member Judicial-II, Sindh Human Rights Commission (SHRC) Govt. of Sindh.
Assembly was held on 04th May 2023 at Sui gas stop, Taluka Thari Mirwah District Khairpur in which social activists, Business community, media personals, Teachers and large number of flood affected peoples were also actively participated in open discussion session.
On this occasion Sarfraz Ahmed Jamali Superintendent Complaints Karachi and Ghulam Yasir Shaikh and Superintendent Complaints Sukkur from SHRC, Muhammad Amin Khaskheli, Dr. Wazeer Phul, Dr. Hyder Phul, Syed Shahid Hussain, Javed Ahmed Veesar, Abdul Jabbar Islami and others were also participated. Government officers from Revenue and SCARP were also participated in the assembly.
Meanwhile Khadim Hussain Mirani and Abdul Jabbar Khaskheli briefed about the findings and recommendations of report on Rain flood situation of Khairpur prepared and consolidated by BSWA, SALU and FES Pakistan.
