The Chairperson of the Sindh Human Rights Commission (SHRC), Mr. Iqbal Ahmed Detho, recently visited the Jacobabad Institute of Medical Sciences - JIMS to assess the quality of healthcare services provided to the people. During his visit, Mr. Detho met with Director Dr. Abdul Kareem Jamali and Media Coordinator Khalid Soomro of JIMS to discuss the conditions of the hospital and spoke to patients to gain insight into their experiences.
We at SHRC believe that it is important to monitor and improve the healthcare system in Sindh, as promotion and protection of the right to access quality healthcare services is part of the Commission’s mandate. Mr. Detho’s visit to JIMS is part of our ongoing efforts to achieve this goal.
