The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, Pakistan (FES) Program Advisor, Mr. Abdullah Dayo called on Chairperson Sindh Human Rights Commission (SHRC) Mr. Iqbal Ahmed Detho for a meeting today at SHRC Office, which was attended by Mr. Zulfiqar Shah, Member SHRC as well.
During the meeting, both exchanged views on the current status of issues related to social justice, decent work, and the compliance of GSP plus, protection of human rights and promoting civic education including business and human rights.
The Chairperson of SHRC underscored the need to work together on issues of mutual interest based on the spirit of partnership and mutual respect.
Both sides agreed that the working relationship of SHRC-FES is strategically important for both organizations and, therefore, agreed to work together to achieve shared goals and objectives.
To begin with, SHRC will support and collaborate with FES for their projects on “Peoples Inquiry on Foreign Debt and Human Rights" and "Pakistan Labour Academy."
In the end, Mr. Dayo lauded the efforts and performance of the Commission.
