Pakistan Institute of Labor Education and Research (PILER) had organized the Multi Stakeholders Consultation on Human Rights Treaties and Core Labor Rights in Pakistan on 8 October 2019 at Move n Pick, Hotel Karachi. Ms. Abida Lodhi, Secretary, Sindh Human Rights Commission (SHRC), and Ms. Fareeda Tahir, Public Relations Officer, SHRC attended the consultation.
In the consultation, it was shared by the SHRC representative that the regularization of sanitary workers of Hyderabad Municipal Corporation and notification for provision of safety kits to the janitorial staff of Hyderabad Development Authority were made possible by the initiative of SHRC.
