Mr. Iqbal Detho, Chairperson of the Sindh Human Rights Commission (SHRC), recently convened a meeting with Legal Aid Society to collaborate on various thematic areas of human rights. After extensive discussions, SHRC and Legal Aid Society reached a consensus whereby both organizations can work together in order to provide free legal aid for citizens reaching out to SHRC, along with providing counsel and representation on topics such as bonded labor, business and human rights violations, forced conversions, alternate dispute resolution methods, workplace health and safety standards, minimum wage regulations, establishing legal identity through appropriate documentation processing like domicile or health cards grants; while also setting up proper complaint handling frameworks. These efforts signify a major milestone in safeguarding the fundamental rights of all individuals
