SHRC Judicial member I and II along with the team visited flood affected areas in Hyderabad, Sindh to evaluate the extent of catastrophe and monitor government efforts of rescue and relief. SHRC members visited the relief camps to ensure effective dispersal of relief services and goods to all marginalized and affected communities. Members’ meetings with local administration, BISP and district health officials to safeguard rights of displaced and to assess the loss of lives and livelihood, The SHRC urge the people of Pakistan and the welfare organizations to come forward and help the distressed populace. The SHRC leadership recommended the government to declare Climate emergency and to legislate, design and materialize a combat strategy to avert such calamities in future.
