Mr. Aslam Shaikh Judicial Member Judicial-II, Sindh Human Rights Commission attended the inception meeting of Pathfinder’s project “Advancing the leadership of women and girls toward better health and climate change resilience” and to mark the World Environment Day on 3rd June, 2022 in Marriott hotel Karachi.
Pathfinder International’s intervention “Advancing the leadership of women and girls toward better health and climate change resilience” in Sindh, is undertaking an integrated approach to climate adaptation working with health systems and Communities to withstand climate shocks. The integrated approach will build on climate adaptive practices, rolling out behavior change communication and gender transformation interventions and equipping communities and health facilities on emergency preparedness.
The session was very informative and it was emphasized in the session that to plant more trees in the province for the good atmosphere and climate.
The meeting was presided by Mr. Muhammad Ismail Rahoo, Minister for Universities & Boards, Environment, Climate Change and Coastal Development, Government of Sindh, Karachi.
Ms. Shazia Jannat Marri, Federal Minister for Benazir Income Support Programme was also attended the session.
