Human Rights Department, Government of Sindh organized the Conference on Human Rights reforms in Sindh GSP+ and Beyond on 30th May, 2022 at Avari Towers Hotel, Karachi.
Mr. Zulfiqar Shah, Member Sindh Human Rights Commission moderated the event.
Mr. Surendar Valasai, Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh for Human Rights gave the welcome note and opening remarks.
GSP+ Opportunity to Strengthen Human Rights Protection in Pakistan was discussed by Mr. Thomas Seiler, Charge'd Affairs, EU Delegation in Pakistan.
Sindh Commitments towards Human Rights Legislation, Policy and Institutional Framework was discussed by Ms. Noreen Bashir, Secretary Human Rights Department.
Ms. Kulsoom Chandio, Member SHRC/MPA-PPP and Mr. Aslam Shaikh, Member Judicial-II, SHRC were participated in the panel discussion in the identifying challenges, exploring opportunities and framing recommendations.
Ms. Fareeda Tahir, PRO, SHRC was also attended the event.
