Sindh Human Rights Commission conducted meeting with Mr. Abdul Rahim Shaikh; Secretary Environment Climate Change and Coastal Development Department; Government of Sindh, Karachi. Ms. Fareeda Tahir, Public Relations Officer, SHRC gave a brief overview of the Commission's mandate, powers, and functions, as well as accomplishments and future plans. Mr. Abdul Rahim Shaikh explained how his department operates and informed the Commission that they are also taking cases related to their department and that they have a tribunal. Mr. Rais Ali Jafri; Additional Secretary, Mr. Ayhan Bhutto; Additional Secretary, Mr. Ashfaq Malik; Deputy Secretary, Mr. Ashique Ali; Director, Mr. Waris Ali; Deputy Director, Mr. Abdul Lateef Sanjarani; Section Officer of Environment Climate Change and Coastal Development Department were among the senior staff in attendance. Finally, Mr. Talha; SHRC presented the Commission’s annual report to the Secretary.
