The Sindh Human Rights Commission in collaboration with Aurat Foundation conducted Community Sessions in the areas of different districts of Karachi - including Paposh Nagar (District Central), Saeedabad (District West), Shireen Jinnah Colony and Nawabad (District South), and Chakra Goth (District Korangi) – from 18th October to 22nd October 2021.
The sessions were conducted by Ms Fareeda Tahir, Public Relations Officer and Ms Maleeha Manzoor, Research Officer, SHRC. The aim to hold these sessions was to spread awareness among the residents about the functions and mandate of the Commission as well as the Provincial Acts concerning countering violent extremism. The sessions were well-attended by the active female participants of the respective communities.
