Sindh Human Rights Commission has launched its 5th annual report for the year 2019-2020 on Thursday 9th September, 2021 at Hotel One, Sukkur.
We share with great honour that the Sindh Human Rights Commission has completed eight years as an autonomous institution dedicated towards promotion and preservation of human rights.
Unfortunately, due to unprecedented situation erupted in the aftermath of pandemic; the launching of the fifth annual report was delayed but despite challenging times due to the pandemic, the Commission managed to serve its mandate in full capacity. The report contains achievements and challenges faced by the Commission during the aforementioned period.
Another landmark achievement of the Commission during 2019-2020 was opening of its Sukkur office with a vision to ensure convenient outreach for the people of Sukkur Division.
One of the major reasons behind launching the annual report at Sukkur is to create awareness among the masses that Commission is now functioning in this region.
The Commission publishes its performance report each year in order to reflect upon the implementation of the mandate. This year, we chose Sukkur in particular to launch the annual report and engage with all because of our newly established regional office in this important region.
