Sindh Human Rights Commission conducted consultation on Sindh Hindu Marriage Amendment Act 2018 in Collaboration with Community World Service Asia on 7th July, 2021 @ Indus Hotel, Hyderabad which was attended by Additional Commissioner Hyderabad, representatives from Local Government department, NGOs, Civil society organizations.
The Act was deliberated upon by the participants in detail and it was unanimously agreed that joint efforts has to be taken by the Government agencies and minority rights groups in order to create awareness about the prospects and engage Government agencies for its smooth-paced implementation.
The additional commissioner Hyderabad assured vibrant and proactive role of Government agencies for the implementation of the Act.
