Sindh Human Rights Commission conducted consultation on Sindh Hindu Marriage Amendment Act 2018 & Rules in Collaboration with Community World Service Asia on 29th June, 2021 @ Hotel Mehran, Karachi.
Justice (R) Majida Razvi, Chairperson, Sindh Human Rights Commission gave the opening remarks in the consultation.
Mr. Krishan Sharma, Member National Lobbying Delegation (NLD) gave introduction of NLD and its Activism for Minority Rights.
Mr. Kapil Dev, human rights activist gave a presentation on Sindh Hindu Marriage Amendment Act 2018, after discussion house was open for remarks & question answer.
SHRC Members Mr. Aslam Sheikh, Judicial Member-II, Ms. Qulsoom Chandio, MPA & Ms. Mangla Sharma, MPA shared their valuable input in the consultation. Other SHRC members included Mr. Hassan Shah Bukari and Ms. Puspha Kumari also attended the consultation.
Other Participants included Mahnaz Rahman (AF), Ms. Naghma Iqtidar (DRI), Mr. M Prakash, Mr. Pribhu Lal Satyani, Mr. Rev Robin Raz, Ms. Kalpana Devi, Mr. Mohsin Durrani (IHRC), Mr. Karamat Ali (PILER), Ms. Sarah Javed, Assistant Commissioner (Revenue South), Mr. Arsalan Saleem, Assistant Commissioner (Jamshed Town), Ms. Rubina Brohi, Ms. Tehmina Azim and Mr. Altaf Khoso also attended the event.
